Attorney Profile: Christopher Varnell

Christopher Varnell is a highly experienced attorney who has an excellent reputation among lawyers and judges. He has practiced criminal defense for a decade. In those 10 years, he has handled thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases, conducted over 50 jury trials, been granted numerous dismissals, negotiated thousands of plea agreements, drafted and argued countless motions, as well as cross examined hundreds of witnesses. His trial experience ranges from misdemeanor DUI and theft cases to homicides, home invasion robberies and rape cases.

He attended the University of California at Berkeley for his undergraduate degree, and obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco, where he received a scholarship and graduated at the top of his class.

He currently teaches trial advocacy in the Trial Advocacy Workshop at Stanford Law School.
